Simple, retro 3D arcade game
Cube Runner takes you back to the earliest 3D games, where simple the experience of moving 3D graphics was motivation enough to get people playing.
You control a triangle craft, flying across a blank surface, with colored blocks dotted around and impeding your journey. You travel at a constant speed and just have to tilt to steer, avoiding the bricks. Your score increases over time, so the aim is simple - survive as long as possible.
There are three difficulty levels included, ranging from the boringly easy 'easy', to the frustrating 'hard'. The problems with this simple game stem from the controls. While they are simple, they are a bit slow, and if you turn hard Cube Runner has a tendency to become quite jerky, meaning evasive maneuvers are more or less luck.
The music is a nice slice of old school sounding techno, which certainly fits the game, and if you turn off all the sound, you can play listening to your own music. The basic graphics don't really have any retro charm, they just look boring, unfortunately.
